The meaning of the name Shanthi is Peace & Calm.
The word comes from Sanskrit -
Although situated in the Heart of Bedfordview, this Sanctuary offers peace and tranquility.
We welcome people of all ages, races and belief systems to the Sanctuary.
It is respectfully requested that you remove your shoes before entering this Sacred Space.

About Shanthi’s offerings
Inspirational and informative talks as well as spiritually based events are
offered on a regular basis.
We also host creative, self empowerment and spiritual workshops facilitated by local
and overseas guests. There are regular self-
We offer various Sound Journeys and Fire Ceremonies.
There are Yoga classes, as well as Vortex Healing Groups; ongoing meditations and Service meditations.
Spiritual healing such as Reiki is offered.
Tarot and Angel card readings are done regularly.
There is Ceridwen’s Cauldron (www.ceridwenscauldron.co.za) Curiosity Shoppe and Enchanting Crystal Room in Shanthi,
which sells lovely and reasonably priced goods such as oracle cards,
candles, books, CDs and DVDs, crystals, statuettes, incense, angels and jewellery as well as suncatchers, dream catchers, besoms, cake décor and super foods and much more.
We run charity events on a regular basis, and offer spiritual tours locally.
We collect on a regular basis for registered Animal and Children’s Charities and for the Elderly.
Shanthi is open every day but we request that you make an appointment before arriving.
